How We Test Files — Safety Verification Process at MCPEDL.ORG
We want every Minecraft Bedrock file on MCPEDL.ORG to be safe, clean, and working correctly. Before publishing any APK, mod, map, texture, shader or resource pack, it goes through a multi-stage manual review and security check on real devices.
This page explains how we verify each upload and why you can trust downloads published on our website.
1. Source Verification
- We check the origin of the file: author profile, social links, project page, GitHub/YouTube evidence.
- Authors must confirm ownership or rights to distribute content.
- Suspicious uploads are rejected immediately.
2. Manual File Inspection
- We review the archive structure (.apk, .mcpack, .mcaddon, .zip, .rar).
- Check manifest.json, resource/behavior folders, scripts, permissions inside APK.
- Verify that no harmful scripts, unusual permissions, or obfuscation tools are used.
3. Antivirus & Malware Scan
Before publishing, all files pass security scanning through multiple engines.
- Malware/virus scan using several antivirus tools.
- Detection of hidden payloads, trojans, mining scripts, ad-injectors.
- If any threat is detected — the file is rejected.
4. Installation & Gameplay Testing
We always test content by hand — not automatically.
- APK installation test on Android device.
- Opening Minecraft to verify launch stability.
- Checking performance, loading time, UI, basic gameplay.
- For mods/maps — testing functionality, generation, entities, blocks.
5. Compatibility & Performance Checks
- We test files on priority game versions (latest + previous stable).
- Check for crashes, black screens, texture/behavior conflicts.
- Large files tested for lag, RAM usage, and stability.
6. Final Approval & Ongoing Monitoring
- Only files that pass all checks are published.
- Downloads are periodically re-checked during updates.
- If users report issues — file may be reviewed or removed.
Result: only verified and manually tested files appear on MCPEDL.ORG.
