What’s new in MCPE 1.8.1?
Mojang Studios has finally released Minecraft PE 1.8.1 next update featuring scaffolding, brand new cats, and even pandas.
Mobs
Evidently, Village & Pillage’s most exciting features are the upcoming animals. The world of MCPE 1.8.1 has become even cuter than ever before.
Ocelots
As a matter of fact, ocelots and cats are now individual creatures with their unique behavior. First of all, ocelots can no longer be tamed.
The only thing you can do with them is to befriend them. Once done, these sneaky mobs won’t run away from you in Minecraft PE 1.8.1.
Cats
Secondly, cats now roam the village streets far away from jungles. They are called Stray Cats in MCPE 1.8.1. Besides, their skins are already different.
It means you no longer have to guess and challenge your luck while taming ocelots. If you tame a gray cat, it will not change its skin, the same thing with red, and so on.
Moreover, if you sleep with your cat on your bed, it will bring treats in the morning. Toms still scare off creepers and meow quite frequently.
Furthermore, updated cats have collars in Minecraft PE 1.8.1. They look as adorable as trusty dogs.
Pandas
There’s also a bulkier creature in the game — a panda. Those big bears live in bamboo forests in jungles. Apparently, that’s their only habitat.
However, users may encounter a variety of panda characters. It seems they have personalities in MCPE 1.8.1.
Lazy, angry, sick, cheerful, and worried ones will be wandering the lush rainforests of the world. Plus, pandas love eating bamboo and cakes.
Blocks & Items
Since we’ve got bamboo, we can craft real scaffolding from now on. Use strings and a bunch of this vegetation to make the most convenient building tool ever. Minecraft PE 1.8.1 also features a few new items.
Most importantly, it’s a little bit changed dyes. Instead of using lapis lazuli, bone meal, cocoa beans, and ink sacs, players must utilize blue, white, brown, and black stains, respectively.
