Minecraft 1.17.40 – What’s new?
The developers from Mojang Studios have released the next release of the Caves & Cliffs Update. In this update, as the name suggests, changes have been made to the caves and mountains.
First of all, it is worth noting that now it is quite interesting to extract resources in the caves. Minecraft 1.17.40 has new mobs, blocks and even biomes.
Stony peaks
Among the new biomes in Minecraft 1.17.40, Stony Peaks deserve special attention. This biome can be seen while traveling on the surface of the normal world.
The developers added Stony Peaks to the game to solve the problem of temperature collisions between biomes. In other words, the user could sometimes notice a sharp transition from a cold location to a warm one.
Render dragon
Another interesting innovation is the Render Dragon graphics engine in Minecraft 1.17.40. Thanks to this, the graphics in the game will become noticeably better. Also, in the future, developers will be able to make global changes to the graphics component of the game using this graphics engine.
Generation
As you know, there was always a bedrock at the zero level of the cubic world. This block cannot be broken in survival mode. However, in Minecraft 1.17.40, players have the opportunity to go deeper.
After level zero, instead of the usual stone, they will encounter a deep slate. This block is slightly more difficult to break than stone, which makes mining more realistic. Indeed, in the real world, the lower you go, the harder it is to dig.
Amethyst
While in the caves, the user may notice a large purple structure in Minecraft 1.17.40. This structure is called the amethyst geode. It has three layers. The most important is the inner layer, which contains the blooming amethysts. When they are destroyed, fragments of amethyst fall out, which can be used in crafting a telescope.
