What’s new in MCPE 1.8.0?
Mojang Studios improves its game step by step, and now it’s all about jungles and its inhabitants. It turns out there are pandas and bamboo.
Cats
Nonetheless, Minecraft PE 1.8.0 is not entirely about pandas and their unique behavior. There are altogether new cats as well.
First of all, these mobs no longer belong to ocelots. Stray cats live in villages. There, they roam roads in search of food and pet. You can still tame them.
On the other hand, there are nine unique feline skins. One of them has even been chosen by the community in MCPE 1.8.0.
General
Kittens also got dyeable collars, like dogs. Moreover, toms will bring extra stuff if they sleep in your bed in the morning.
The /particle command allows spawning custom effects on chosen coordinates in Minecraft PE 1.8.0. There’s a new game rule as well — randomtickspeed.
Besides, users got the ability to craft packed ice using nine ordinary ones.
Crossbows
Developers introduced another deadly weapon in the Update Aquatic. MCPE 1.8.0 users can use crossbows to shoot down enemies more efficiently.
You can either make it out of sticks, strings and iron or get it from pillagers’ dead body. It uses arrows, so you don’t have to craft any bolts and stuff.
Additionally, there are three quite spectacular enchantments for a crossbow in Minecraft PE 1.8.0: Quick Charge, Multishot, and Piercing.
Bamboo
By the way, jungles sometimes include bamboo woods from now. It’s where you can find pandas. They love chewing it. This plant is used to make scaffolding.
This block is obviously handy when climbing up if you can’t reach the ceiling in MCPE 1.8.0. It works almost as ladders but way more convenient.
As you can see, this update features a real plethora of exciting things.
