These birds love seeds, so you can tame them using beetroot, wheat, pumpkin, and melon seeds. The process is quite simple and similar to dog’s and cat’s one.
On the other hand, do not even try feeding parrots a cookie. It turns out the chocolate the wafer contains is venomous to the chicks in Minecraft PE 1.2.0.
Still, once tamed, parrots will imitate and mimic surrounding mobs. It means it can warn you about the approaching creepers and zombies.
