Furnace Freeze

Opening a furnace with no available recipes could freeze the game completely. This affected survival players in early-game sessions and custom worlds with restricted crafting. The freeze is fully resolved in Minecraft 26.21.

Launch and Gameplay Crashes

Several crashes during regular gameplay have been patched. More importantly a crash that prevented the game from opening at all after updating to 26.20 is now fixed. Players who could not launch the game after the previous update should install this hotfix immediately.

Sign-in Screen Crash

Tapping “Search for people” while not signed into an Xbox account caused an immediate crash. This was tracked as MCPE-235488 and is resolved in this build.

After installing Minecraft 26.21 / 1.26.21 the social screen and sign-in flow work correctly without forcing a crash on Android devices.

Block Traits Fix

Add-ons using format_version 1.26.20 or higher that behaved unexpectedly after 26.20 should work correctly again without any changes to world files.

This fix is mainly relevant for players running community add-ons. Vanilla gameplay is not affected.
