A Closer Look at the Update
Brittle Ice and Crevasses
In this Beta, crevasses cut through Ice Caves, capped with Brittle Ice over pools of water. The ice gives way after three cracks, so do not linger over a gap. Mobs crack it too, but Frostbites can stand on it without breaking it. It never melts, and water flowing beside Blue Ice forms more.
Jukebox Playlists From a Chest
Jukeboxes in Minecraft Bedrock can now pull discs from a single Chest, Trapped Chest or any Copper Chest placed directly above them. Discs play in slot order on a loop, so the music keeps going, and ejecting one skips to the next.
Frostbites and Mob Gear Fixes
A Frostbite may end up holding a Spear, though it never uses the charge attack. Mojang also fixed some odd gear habits, so mobs show up as you would expect:
- Zombies, Husks and Zombie Villagers stop trying on animal armor
- Unarmed Piglins stay unarmed as Zombified Piglins
- Skeletons get no new gear when turning into Strays
Crash Fixes and Everyday Polish
Looting an Abandoned Camp feels smoother, and crashes in the resource pack list and during teleporting are fixed. Hearts now flash on damage or healing, which stands out on a phone screen. Candles can also be lit while sneaking, and Tripwire Hooks, empty Dispensers and Droppers make sounds again.

A meaningful test build: Brittle Ice and chest playlists add new gameplay, while the fixes tidy up crashes, sounds and mob gear.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I download this build as an APK for Android?
Yes, the APK is on this page, and the download is free. It is a test build of Minecraft Bedrock, so some parts may feel unfinished.
What is the biggest addition in Minecraft 26.70.20?
Brittle Ice. It forms the surface of the new Ice Cave crevasses, cracks under players and mobs, and collapses once it has cracked three times.
What happens if I put a chest on a Jukebox in this Beta?
With a single chest right on top, the Jukebox plays the discs inside one by one, starts over after the last and skips ahead when you eject one.
Does Minecraft 26.70.20 fix any crashes or lag?
Yes. Two crash bugs are gone, one around the resource pack list and one around teleporting, and Abandoned Camp chests open with less lag.
Where can I download other Minecraft builds?
Other versions are gathered in the main downloads section of this site. This page sticks to Minecraft 26.70.20 and the changes listed in its official changelog.
