What You Will Notice in Game
Disc Press and Pocket Jukebox
The Disc Press turns craftable Blank Discs into Track Discs for a Jukebox and comes loaded with Minecraft main menu songs. The add-on needs no Marketplace download. A Pocket Jukebox, crafted from a bundle, holds up to 20 discs only you can hear. If the press looks empty, restart the game.
Packed Ice Bricks and Riskier Crevasses
Minecraft Bedrock builders can use Packed Ice Bricks like any brick set and mine them best with a pickaxe. Brittle Ice is now a real hazard: if it breaks, you can fall into the cave under a Crevasse. Outside Ice Caves, Frostbite no longer spawns naturally underground, and Redstone Dust now extends Potions of Freezing.
Tougher Guardians, Smarter Frost Walker
In MCPE, Guardians now deal 6 base damage instead of 5, and Elder Guardians rise to 8. With Frost Walker, water freezes in an even circle and only while you are on the ground, so diving in no longer ends in fatal fall damage on Frosted Ice.
Steadier Saves and Smoother Menus
For phone players, the key fix in Minecraft PE 26.70.21 / 1.26.70.21 is that switching apps or closing the game no longer costs you progress. Smaller menu fixes mean less waiting and fewer interruptions:
- Long stays in menus no longer trigger a crash
- Sign-in and menu loading come with fewer delays
- Marketplace searches on Android no longer bounce you back
The rest of this series is on our Minecraft PE 1.26 download page.
This build is worth testing for the music add-on and Packed Ice Bricks, while saving and menu fixes make sessions more reliable.
FAQ
Can I download this Beta as an APK for Android?
Yes. The APK for this Minecraft Bedrock Beta is on this page, and the download is free. It is a test build, so some content may still change.
Where can I download other Minecraft builds?
Head to the downloads section of the site. It gathers other Minecraft builds in one place, while this page covers only Minecraft 26.70.21 and its changes.
What is the biggest addition in Minecraft 26.70.21?
The built-in Music Features Add-On. Add its pack to a world to make Track Discs with the Disc Press and take songs anywhere in a Pocket Jukebox.
Can Frost Walker still kill me when I dive into water?
Not anymore. Frost Walker no longer freezes water while you are in the air, so diving cannot leave Frosted Ice under you for a deadly landing.
Does this Beta fix crashes or slow menus?
Yes. It fixes a crash after long menu sessions and shortens waits at login and in menus. Saving also holds up when the app goes to the background.
