The slow bouncy Sulfur Cube used to swallow Observers and Redstone Lamps along with other stone-type blocks. In Minecraft 26.40.26 both are removed from that archetype, so redstone parts near the Sulfur Caves stay put instead of being eaten by a passing cube. Sulfur Spikes also have a cap on how long they can grow, which keeps cleared caves from filling back in endlessly.

Cubes now deflect projectiles

A Sulfur Cube that has absorbed a block now deflects arrows and tridents rather than taking the hit, so you cannot cheese it from range while it is loaded.

Combat and projectile fixes

This beta is also a projectile-consistency pass. The Ender Dragon now deflects projectiles while perching, blocked projectiles no longer bounce off targets too early, and players in Creative mode deflect projectiles as well. Together these make arrow and trident behavior predictable against the targets that should be shrugging them off.

Boats now match Java Edition

Boats take fewer hits to break than before, matching Java Edition, and they slowly regenerate any damage they pick up. A boat you bump against terrain heals back up instead of staying one tap from splintering.

Mobile graphics fixes

Several rendering bugs that hit phones are fixed. Thrown projectiles no longer render as flat solid colors with Texture Streaming on, the green outline that could appear on distant blocks under Vibrant Visuals on some devices is gone, and transparent blocks like water and ice no longer draw in front of clouds when Vibrant Visuals is off.
