Surviving the new Ice Caves

In experimental worlds, Ice Caves lie beneath low-temperature biomes, with ores tucked into Stone and Deepslate pockets. Ice Crystals provide the only natural light, although Mojang notes they are smaller than intended. Brighten an area too much and Icicles may fall on anyone below.

Fighting the Frostbite

Frostbites throw Ice Balls from range, yet they prefer melee hits that apply Freezing. The effect makes you shake, lowers your jumps and eventually deals damage. Leather Armor keeps you free from the actual freezing, but the effect still applies. Zombies and Husks left in Powder Snow become Frostbites.

Fewer hangs and glitches

You can now pause during a dimension transfer without getting stuck on the loading screen. Minecraft PE players on Android can finally interact with the Disclosure pop-up. Smaller glitches that could spoil a session are gone too:

Holding an invalid photo no longer crashes the game
Sound stays in sync after pausing and resuming
Fog in front of water no longer looks overly bright

Main menu and Realms updates

The refreshed main menu is rolling out in stages, so this Beta may not show it right away. Menus outside a world also open faster the first time. Saving a Realms world to your device is much quicker.
